‘Pour la libération des grands classiques’ (For the liberation of the great classics) is a theatre production created in 2008 at the Théâtre Saint-Gervais in Geneva by Christian Geffroy Schlittler and his collective. It is a revival and reappropriation of classic texts, exploring literary heritage in an innovative way and inaugurating the company's collaboration between the Théâtre Saint-Gervais and other partners.

The show was written, created and performed in 2008 by Christian Geffroy Schlittler and his team at the Théâtre Saint-Gervais in Geneva and Lausanne. It was an ‘intrepid exploration of the repertoire’. The aim was to create a ‘free and striking dialogue’ with the classics, offering a new perspective on these texts.
