Der Anfang der Schlacht (The Beginning of the Battle) is the first EP by the duo Radikal Kuss, produced in collaboration with the French indie label Unknown Pleasures Records. The five tracks include a fantastic remix by Spanish producer Dave Inox.

The release of Der Anfang der Schlacht is a declaration of war. It's about a poetic and musical attitude within a cultural history. Radikal Kuss are playing with textual expression, punk energy and obsessive harmonies. The musical influences come from EBM, Darkwave and techno of the 80s. Between hard kicks, harmonious bass and alarming synths a passionate women’s voice drives: «cultural desert = deadly desert !» The edition of the same named clip « Kulturtod » shows that humour can rime with an electronic punk statement : this of the urgent need of a creative human self-determination and cosmic affiliation.
