A hotel room in a dilapidated palace: it could be in Havana or Shanghai, in the former USSR or South America… A place haunted by three intertwined stories, in several languages: that of Susann and her little girl, going back in time to the moment when the child was unborn. The story of Wolfgang, a film-maker who harasses his actress, plunges into the traumas of childhood. The story of two half-sisters invited to their father's wedding would perhaps be the most real if everything didn't gradually go wrong…
