Schauplatz

In 2022, Susi Vogel decides to embark on a solo project. She wants to give herself space to experiment, break out of the prescribed role of songwriter and singer, and follow her own musical path without compromise. "Schauplatz" means literally a stage, a ‘place where all eyes are focused’. A synonym for this is the scene of the action. In psychoanalysis, "a different stage is possible". And here we are talking about a psychological space of dreams and desires.

First comes the word or first comes the music?

Born in the techno body, influencer of  female EBM, participant of the riot grrrl movement, Susi Vogel's electronic experimental punk poetry reclaims it's own stage. Her performances are meant to be unique, the relationship with the audience reinvented each time. The aim is a kind of communion, a moment that leaves its mark and is remembered. Between experimentation, hard kicks, own sound design samples and a beguiling voice that finds its way through a trilingual network of poems, her electronic heart beats with theatrical strength and beauty.
